New winds are blowing at the Italian fashion label Gucci ever since (the amazing) Frida Giannini stepped back as creative director of the brand and young talent Alessandro Michele took the wheel. If you ask me, he definitely has big shoes to fill, and even though he put together a convincing debut collection in pretty much no time (a week or so). It takes more than some gender-bending designs and retro flavour to really mark your position as creative director of a brand this big. Anyhow, it seems like Michele is still going strong with his first Gucci-campaign showing a minimal and quirky approach that feels contemporary and fresh at the same time. What do you say?
